Diamonds

These are the global standard for evaluating diamond quality.

1. Cut (Most Important)

- How well the diamond is shaped, not its shape (round, princess, etc.).

- A good cut means better sparkle and brilliance.

- Ranges from Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor

2. Color

- Measures absence of color. The less color, the higher the grade.

- Graded from D (colorless) to Z (noticeable yellow/brown tint).

D-F: Colorless

G-J: Near Colorless

K-M: Faint Color

3. Clarity

Assesses inclusions (internal flaws) and blemishes (surface flaws).

– Flawless/Internally Flawless
– Very Very Slightly Included
– Very Slightly Included
– Slightly Included
– Included (visible flaws)

4. Carat Weight

Measures the weight (not size) of a diamond.

1 carat = 200 milligrams

Bigger isn’t always better — cut and clarity matter too.
